Heating up high but still cold

Collecting their pension and talking for attention

Waiting for a visitor tired and alone

No one ever calls not even by phone

High gas bills to pay and even meals on wheels

They have at bay

That's a misbehaved kid they always say

I never used to do that in the good old days

I wish there was the cane

Then they wouldn't be so insane
